Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Damn it! How could I forget Minecraft! :wall:Another game they are also desperately ripping off and who's audience they are trying to pander to!

Except Fallout 1

We can't have anything that relates to Fallout 1 or even New Vegas! Those games are too hard and don't appeal to console and casual gamers looking for a power fantasy. We need to rip off and put in what is the latest fad into Fallout 4. People like Borderlands, Far Cry and Call of Duty? Well we'll added them in there! People like having a voiced protagonist, dialogue wheel and romancable companions like in Mass Effect? Add them in! People love Minecraft's settlement building and crafting system? Add them fucking in! The floating city from Bioshock Infinite? Not in but maybe in a DLC!

I really don't know what to say any more after watching all those spoiler videos from various leak.
From the start I knew that this would never be anything like Fallout New Vegas but Bethesda's developers even took out the few remaining Fallout elements that game still had such as genuine character building (the perks are now a lot more like those skills or what they are called in Borderlands), a full dialogue system (now replaced with keywords and descriptions that don't tell you what your character will say), very badly written dialogue! genuine skill checks that actually justify experimenting with different characters.
They put now even more emphasis on the shooting part (I don't mind shooting in a game but I felt Fallout was more than just about killing things), have gone further with clichés such as the Super Mutants and Feral Ghouls (I have come to loathe these), the player being some kind of god in human form rather than just another schlub in the wasteland, and I also really don't care for a voiced protagonist as Fallout is not Mass Effect for example.

Even the lore and the atmosphere of the setting is mangled such as that stupid robot surviving for two hundred years, working elevators in ruined buildings, fully equipped garages in the middle of nowhere.
I don't know what to make of the Power Armor, some of you love it, but I feel it is now more something from a shooter like the Power Suit from fear or Chronicles of Riddick, and the energy packs clash with the fact that these suits are supposed to be powered by a fusion cell that last for centuries. Its the old ones that used small energy cells and they did not explode when exhausted. (imagine that happening to batteries in real life. How do you know if your car battery is empty? Why the front of the car explodes of course)

I know I have told people that I want to find out what the lore is about but I really don't want to pay 60 Euros for this. This game really does not justify that heavy price tag for me.

They were talking about how the power armor is now a vehicle they are the equivalent of walking tanks so i've heard, which totally makes sense. /sarcasm
I thought the part about the exploding front end of the car exploding to tell when a battery is depleted was hilarious, so wait wouldn't that mean the fusion cell would explode inside the suit once empty or only when Bethesda wants it to?

I dont think anyone should actually pay money for the game. Im not saying this because Im disappointed or dont like it.

Bethesda tried paid mods with Steam just a month before E3. At E3 they announced bethesda.net(totally not a battle.net ripoff) as a platform to house all their games and things related to them. From user made DOOM maps to Fallout 4 mods, everything will be on it. They also announced Fallout 4 mod support will be coming to PS4 for and Xboxone.

Now this triggered alarms in my conspiracy theorist brain about paid USER MADE content coming back into especially after console mod support(a deal that heavily involves $ony and Micro$oft). I will play Fallout 4 at launch but will just wait for some time before playing it with a legal copy so that Pete Hines and his business plans wont bite me in the ass.

Its truly amazing how fallout new vegas, A game with a significant shorter development time was able to entirely obliterate Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 in terms of production and time of development.

If Fallout 4 wins game of the year, I'm going to explode.

But it was developed by reusing assets from Fallout 3. Bethesda worked hard for years and did the most work, Obsidian just modded a new story!

Jokes aside, of course it will win GOTY. GOTY awards doesnt mean anything since every game gets a GOTY award from some magazine or website(no matter how big) and re-releases the game with DLCs as GOTY Edition. Witcher 3 won a GOTY award for best PC game and RPG(if im not mistaken) from a website and Bethesda fans went nuts for a few days on the internet by saying the year is not over yet and how limited Witcher 3 is as an rpg. Imagine what will they do if it doesnt gets goty after its release.

What has ever happened to the fact you need to do something properly or new in order to be eligible for a price or a title?
You know, doing something exceptional or admirable that makes you stand out amongst others.

Well, if that is the case. Bethesda fans can go and fuck themselves. Fallout 4, You're going to have a falling out with the love for your series. I wish bethesda would honestly go out of business.

Geez man, being this angry over this is a bit much, no?

If anything the settlement building is like Rust, nothing like Minecraft.

Flamer, Ghouls, and a BoS Initiate.

Also a look at how bright the flashlight is, and the scoped revolver in a loading screen. Given that the Initiate says the BoS thinks ghouls are abominations, I'm going to guess this isn't the Midwestern BoS.

Psst, brightness settings.

What do you think is the inspiration for Rust?

Minecraft is building with blocks, Rust has entire sections and floors and isn't at all the same. It may take a little inspiration from it but the settlement building not really. It's based off DayZ and was a clone of that.
