Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

And the PC narrates it himself and isn't dead until a DLC revives him.
Hooray for non-consequential gameplay.

Aw jesus, cheat time? Really, time travel?! REALLY?!

I don't think he was being literal there.

Let's hope so. Time travel ... is narratively and story whise a really tough thing to master. Most movies, books and well games don't. It's simply a very silly concept and feels often enough like a sloppy cop out. Unless it is really writen well.

The directors of Rick and Morty said it very well, to the point they even make an episode about possibilities, which is just a fragment of issues in time travel, and overall, their message was: time traveling is a big fucking mess and no one should make a story about it.

The PC narrating is weird to me, why isn't it Ron Perlman? I mean he's the newscaster at the start.

Because gruff military dad knows war, and war never changes.

Oh, they got Rob Liefeld to do the models?

At least he has a neck I guess.

Exactly. There is only so much you can do before it all brakes appart. Time travel is paradox per definition! Unless you get in to a few very obscure details of quantum mechanics. But as far as a believable setting goes, it simply opens a can of worms that should be avoided if possible.

Back from my kill spree/massacre in Cherno on DayZ.

So, can anyone tell me why Ron would stop original narrations of the intro? He get mad at Bethesda or something?

Because even Ron Perlman doesn't want a part of this (ba dum tish). In all seriousness, Bethesda is probably trying to make their own artistic vision of Fallout with a voiced protagonist, and you can't have Ron Perlman narrate then unless he voices the protagonist. Honestly, it's a gimmick that probably won't show up again.

J. Michael Straczynski pulled it off marvelously in Babylon 5 which is the best sci-fi show on television in the history of ever. So it's possible, you just have to really know what you're doing. Quite unlike Rian Johnson who screwed it up to hell and back in Looper.

Yeah, it IS possible, no doubts about that. I mean hell, I love Back to the future and the Time-machine - the old black and white movie, not the new one, but for different reasons. But it leads almost always to a clusterfuck in movies or TV series - see Star Trek. Unless you explain everything with paralel universes. But like I said, it really requires good writing to pull it of and not just making it another gimick.
