Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Hell Lily is fully aware of her "Leo personality".

A more direct example of a split personality would be God/Dog and he is also a pretty complex a character than just "I like Shakespear!".

Tabitha doesn't have a split personality... She is robosexual and xenophobic.

The Split personality is with Lily, and it's not even played in a cliche manner, it's Lily's deranged mind giving her a coping mechanism for the violent things she did for the Master as she was a Sweet old lady before getting dipped.

I don't see how that's comparable to a cliched "I am fro ma brute race but I learned shakepseare so now I am good" and a Mutant with Glasses and a Scarf...

I guess that's fair enough but she talks to herself in a voice of another entity, that's basically a split personality or schizophrenia.

Do you think Lilly isn't cliché? That has been done a thousand times before, it's the plot of a lot of things in history. This is my point. You can't call everything cliché because you dislike it.

I don't know how the character is portrayed, but the glasses could work on a super mutant? Like he's so ashamed by association with other super mutants he acts like a human to differentiate himself whenever he can, even when its pointless (e.g. hipster glasses). It could be an interesting coping mechanisms to violence he has done / fighting against his nature. I doubt that is what Bethesda has done, but I haven't seen enough of the streams to tell

I know exactly why she has it fool. This character seems to be clearly mocking hipsters so it doesn't mean they need the glasses. Think for once.

Didn't know making a character wear glasses is enough to say "f*ck hispters". Until we know more of what he says we don't know if he's mocking anyone or not. So far it looks like typical Bethesda to me.
"fool", "Think for once" so civil... And supposedly we are the haters...

Don't make snarky insults and it won't be bounced back at you.

Well your the idiot who has spent almost 600 post trying to tell us what idiots we are for not comprehending Bethesda "genius".

She talks to herself as Ronda during her radio show, because she misses her and Rhonda was her Co-host, so she is just "keeping the show going" than actually believing she is Rhonda. She even says "Rhonda I miss you" at the end of a lot of segments.

Lily only keeps suffering from dissociative episodes because she neglects her medicine as it also makes her forget her life pre-dip. She is in a constant daze as she is only half medicated and you can help her decide wether she wants to continue holding onto her memories at the expense of her health (one ending even has her becoming a brute completely) or to take her medicine at the expense of forgetting who she was but attaining mental peace. I don't see how that's again, comparable to a Character who is only good because he read Shakespeare but doesn't even seem to have anything else going on for him.

Snarky insults. You wrote something that would indicate lack of knowledge and I called you out on it. That's an insult to you?
I pity people who spend day-to-day life around you, seems like everything offends you. This you can see as an insult if you so wish.

Another thing that helps make Lily not cliched is the fact that she isn't the only friendly Super Mutant. There is a whole community of them, and only a handfull sound like the dumb brutes from Fallout 3/4 (the second generation created by accident by the Enclave), the other Mutants even have ver ydignified voices and don't have names like "Super Mutant Suicider".

Depends how well the cliche is writen. EVERYTHING is a cliche of some sort. But some are more dumb than others. Lilly creating a split personality (sort of?) to deal with what she did as nightkin for the Master? That's a good use! (If well writen of course). Giving someone glasses or a lab coat to make sure that he looks smart, can be a bit silly. You know, like if you would let the villain kick a dog, or worse a cat to make sure that everyone get's that he/she's the villain.

What I said didn't say anything about why she was nuts, so I don't know why she's nuts? That makes sense.

As we've seen here, there isn't just one friendly Super Mutant.

Please show me where I said anything like that. I'll wait.

There is only 2, the rest are just brutes that explode themselves with nukes as their fisrt tactic and who have no organization or goal beyond keeping Gore bags around and getting shot by the player.

The best thing about Lily was having to decide how much medication she should take. That was always a genuinely difficult choice to make.

You don't know how many there are in total, you keep stating things with no evidence.

Considering that there are missions that are just explicitly "Kill all the mutants in X place" and the fact that they are again keeping gore bags around and there is even a segment on a quest where you go down an elevator as a horde of Mutants gets spawned and you have no alternative other than shooting them from the elevator, and then you combine it with how Super Mutants where handled in FO3, I am just coming to a rational conclussion based on their typical approach to writting.

Dude, there are Mutant Suiciders in Mutant enemy Hordes here, that's the level of Mindless Orc they have become..

So people have mentioned more vertical options in terms of the map design.. I haven't watched any of the streams yet, so I'm wondering how that works.

Did Bethesda finally figure out how to make a ladder, or am I missing something?

As far as I have seen Ladders still teleport you. But there are scafoldings and elevators everywhere.

I just really hate the idea of a "random mook whose only way of completing their objectives involves blowing themselves up." Particularly when attached to a faction that doesn't have specific goals that could be accomplished by martyring themselves. Hopefully the "no Mutant Suiciders" mod will come out soon.

It really doesn't even make sense, since their version of fallout already has a slingshot to fling mini nukes at people from medium range and those nukes don't kill you within reasonably short range.

Why not just throw the bomb at them, using your big green mutie arms, and live to fling again?
