Fallout on IGN's Top 100 Games List for 2007

Well, seeing as how you were what, 6 years old when OoT came out, we don't expect you to appreciate the quality of the series.

As for shadow of the colossus, I'm going to play the shit out of it right now and see if i can get #17. And no way did it deserve that high of a ranking.

here's all I have to say on this topic:

http://top100.ign.com/2007/ign_top_game_98.html

This, is bullshit.

Quake2, is without a doubt, a more influential FPS game to the genre than Halo will ever be, and it's ranking among a bunch of barely known games is a slap in the face.

The sheer number of games that exist that were made possible by the development of the quake 2 engine, outmatch that of pretty much any engine that I can think of, and I've been an avid computer gamer since the dusty old days of dos when I first played Zork and The Hobbit, and Castle adventure.

I loved Quake 2. It was one of the last FPS games to have perfect co-op play, and it was done by id at its peak - really balanced difficulty levels, really polished, and consistent/interesting level flow, not to mention the kickass enemies.

It was more of a true spiritual sequel to Doom than any of the games that followed... sadly it went under a lot of people's radar as "just another Quake".

Of course, this game's real staying power (and call to greatness) is the fact that it is one of the most awesome deathmatch extravaganza games ever -- the Halo of its time. Twitch and shout, as they say.

Oh man, that snippet makes me so angry.

Oh yes, i had TONS of fun playing it in co-op mode, and it is just as great (though, for different reasons) to play in multiplayer as Quake 1 and Quake 3 are.

Putting a game so great so far in the list, AFTER crap like Waverace 64 (WHAT THE FUCK?!), is like a bitchslap to me, and to many others as well.

quake 2 was a very fun game, better then the pure garbage they have at rank#4 and #31 and im no fan of #30 either or some of the other crap..

i have NO IDEA how baulders gate 1 and fallout 2 didnt even get on the list, even fallout tactics deserves a spot in the 50's

I must've missed them, because I didn't see either one of them. Also I didn't see any mention of Descent, Battlezone, Terminator: Future Shock(best Bethesda game ever made) or Duke Nukem 3D. Maybe I'm just going nuts at this hour at work...

Nope, not in the 40's or 50's either.

I'm totally serial, it looks like they didn't rank it or Morrowind.

I suddenly want to hug IGN.

I have two points to make on this:

- typical Sega-racism means the top is crowded with Nintendo. Get over yourself, people, Sega was the better console.
- No Oblivion, no Morrowind, let us all point and laugh.

just looked through again, no morrowfart or oglitchion, i cant believe they didnt put duke nukem 3d,i loved using the devastator and the microwave guns :(

Uhhh... You do realise that this entire fucking thread is all about Fallout (1) at #33? http://top100.ign.com/2007/ign_top_game_33.html
And if you meant Fallout 2, then... Meh, it's IGN.

I read that if you complete every game mode (all difficulties, all time challenges, etc..)
Yeah... Not doing that... No way... Nuh-uh... No sireebob...

I still haven't finished The Witcher, and I've got the last half of Metroid Prime 3 waiting for me to come crawling back from the PC.
I'm all booked up. :o

i cant believe they didnt put duke nukem 3d
It's Pitchfork time.

<s>Fallout raked, Fallout 1. And no tactics cody, what are you looking at!?</s>

Oblivion didn't make it, Gears of war didn't make it, Bioshock didn't make it... Good points, all good points... IGN is probably less retard then I'd had thought. Nevermind that I can't see they're site anymore :(

<s>What was system shock 2 rank again?</s>

i liked super mario world, super mario bros 3,also liked a link to the past but not much else from nintendo was any good.pretty decent list for the most part though.

edit: i cant say all other nintendo games sucked but they arnt top 30 material let alone top 10...

*sniffle* no DoW or Blood, I miss the hands from Evil Dead...

"I'll Swallow Your Soul, I'll Swallow Your Soul, I'll Swallow Your Soul, I'll Swallow Your Soul..."

Ah Blood, the game where guns akimbo was a powerup, and zombies burned with a flaregun!

No Daggerfall either. Now, Oblivion was shit. Morrowind, i understand that people may think it's meh (i don't, mods <3), but Daggerfall is a damn classic.

I see more and more things that are wrong with that list, but am too tired to put a lenghty comment out. :|
