First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Here is how good Fallout 4 is:

A guy wanted me to lean on some dude because he thought he might be planning to take him out. So I go in to Goodneighbor to talk to the dude. He gives me some lip and I choose the anger option. He tells me to fuck off and my only option is to bribe him or be persuasive, so I shoot him with 20 rounds of my Assault Rifle (which looks more like a heavy machine gun but whatever), so the guy sits down on the ground with blood all over the place while the whole bar continues doing what they are doing. The guy says You just don't give up do you? Stands up and then I still have to use the persuade dialog to get the info out of him. He acts like the bullets didn't hurt and goes on his merry way. Quest completed.

I shot some dipshit in the face after exiting dialogue since he called me a retard. I chose the dickheaded option since he wanted me to give him $150 caps for some stupid card scheme.
Tons of these NPCs I don't care about because they're like cardboard cutouts. Can someone upload a video of them slaughtering the stupid Atom Cats gang? I would kill them myself if this game didn't BORE me to tears.

Dialog keeps bugging me, seriously. I need to know what I say to people, I do not want to be surprised by my own statements!
What happens too often is that I'm trying to get a companion to like me, and I'm fine with a bit of back and forth there - as long as I at least know what I'm doing!
Just now I managed to get a "disliked" and "hated"-reaction, after clicking a dialog option that immediately caused me to declare my intention to execute a civilian NPC.
I had no idea I would be saying that o_o

I want to try Survival mode before I do though because it is one of those features that needs to be tested...especially since they replaced Hardcore mode with it.

:whatever:

So...
(this is spoiler on spoiler btw, since it's the aftermath of that quest)
I get up on top of a skyscraper, to check up on a crew of pirate robots, in their pirate ship
Being up to here with raiders, and conversations interrupted by idiotically placed raider-encounters, I think hey - on top of a skyscraper, in a pirate ship full of robots, that has to be one place

one place

where this simply cannot happen!

My face goes ":D" with naive, optimistic anticipation. How, how I have yet not learned.

Be-fuckin-thesda will make raiders rain from the sky, if they have to.
Mid-goddamn-conversation, the pirate-robot zooms off, to fight nearby raiders. From the top of a sky-scraper. He tries to shoot through the deck, and the raiders a kilometre below try to fire straight up through the stupid building.

:whatever:

Survival just makes stimpaks heal slower, you do x0.5 damage while enemies do x2 damage to you.

I am now experiencing a bug where I constantly hear the radiation sound even though I am not near any radiation. It is only fixed by reloading but then it starts again. Buggy shit and it gets 9's across the board.

Yesterday combat-music followed me around, it got a bit tiresome. This is an old bug though, no?

I keep noticing that if there are any positive experiences I come across, they are always minimal, and only about gratifying moments, or chuckles and lulz. I keep expecting more

I like the *moment* it takes for companions to get into a suit. I'm like Danse - I like that they put the suit on.
I don't wear the PA much myself, but for collecting purposes I'll have companions wear them (and take the suit to a garage)
(Oddly enough, they'll exit their armor if you tell them to wait at a settlement. They'll wear the armor all their way to there, in fact, I went there to wait, and saw Cait coming from a distance away, thanks to the PA helmet lamp. I thought "awesome!" till she stopped and exited the suit. I thought I was clever, since I could give her ordinary armor to my next companion, and have her wear the PA while guarding the settlement. Nope! :D)

One thing companions are good for is decoys. Usually it's not something I'd bother that much with, just shoot everything that moves, except I one time got three super mutant suiciders trying to sniff me out of my hiding place. It is an amazingly absurd and unrealistic approach, to tell your companion to just storm them "yes yes, go, it'll be okay!"
*triple nuclear blast*
"told ya :0"

Have you ever seen the animations of someone talking in this game and got so disgusted that you gave it a 0 on metacritic because it was LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE? Worry not! To all you people complaining about facial animations, here's a mod made to make them much more immersive and lore-friendly!

(a little late, i know.)

Nightmare fuel.

Also, first time I'm seeing how the game forces you to sign up for the Vault even when you say "no". lol Bethesda, you are so shit.

EDIT: What happens when you play a female and the male spouse puts his foot down? Does he put on a wife-beater shirt and go to town? Lol Bethesda.

I'm starting to wonder if there is any part of this game with a meaningful choice to be made.

I don't even care if it's just a binary choice, just one real actual choice that has a consequence.

They could literally just make you die to the intro bombing if you said NO, but they couldn't do this because apparently their target audience cannot so something as meaningful as die in a game as a result of their own poor choices.
