Is it one of those Garry's Mod things? I saw a few... and as an animation student they give me a headache.

No, it's not.

It's a series that started back in 2007, and it's basically the first half-life but with the inner thoughts of Gordon Freeman. That might sound lame but the guy absolutely nails the personality. He's sarcastic, cynical and paranoid. As the series goes on he gets more and more bonkers. It's a lot better than it sounds,I would recommend checking it out.

In fact, the guy's voice is so perfect that it's what I think of when I think "Gordon Freeman".To me, that voice and personality are canon.

Yeah, it's amazing how he can keep up his level of comedy and very poignent (or silly) comments for the half-life world throughout these dozens of episodes and years of making them. I've watched it through completely. And I would also recommend Shepard's Mind, and there's a barney's mind I haven't watched much of. (I hear it gets better as it goes along though)

So... uhmmmm we did this thing, I put it together, couldn't render it because some people took waaaay too long to finish their bits so I edited it together from Play Blasts and used some music I had in stock because there was no time for soundwork either.

But now I know who to work with and who NOT to work with in future animatio endeavours.
Don't be too harsh....

Now I am off to sleeping like a normal person.... at 5 am in the morning....

If you had more time to polish things it would have been much better but I enjoyed it. As you said, rendering and more time for sounds would have done nicely. I definitely got what you were going for.

lol I deleted the transgenderism thread.

Oh hey Akratus thought deleting this thread was a good idea. Good fun. No you don't. I'll just vat it instead.

Top kek.

Never been to the Codex before, ever.
Are they like trolls or something? Did they want us to burn a house in response? We have been pretty negative all around about Fo4.

They hate most things that aren't the codex.

edit: sorry I guess I mean we, since I post there quite regularly.

They think Fallout 3 fans somehow took over the site. Apparently Rosh leaving was the start of a decline. One of the better places to go for RPG talk. Not so kind to JRPG's though. Brother None makes appearances there, as well as a number of NMA users. They have one of the best top RPG lists around.

Was thinking of you when I said that. Haha.

Shameful display Codex. I propose a counter attack. Raise the Banners!

Well. I think we have to see it as that.

If this would be the french revolution, the Codex would be the *Maximilien de Robespierre to our Georges Danton.

*Still love you Codexers :3, if only for keeping someone like volourn around. I never laughed so hard when reading forums.

On the other side ... life is cruel. We are not good enough for the Bethesda fans as we critize to much. For the Codexers though we are not hardcore enough on hating Bethesda. How do they say in germany, beeing stuck in the middle of two asscheecks it can be only the asshole. Or something like that.

Yeah. I said it! We are assholes. But we are proud of it!

I guess this makes me a "Rape-apologist".

:smugoticon:

If you want to start a flame-war, I propose escalation.

First and foremost, New Fags GTFO, or drop your pants and bend over.

Second, know the core.

Third, RPG Codex is a fucking cum-dumpster repository of misanthropic retards. *wink-wink, nudge-nudge".

We were here before the fall....

Started branching my growing comic book collection into other genres.

Got the first volume of Low, the first volume of Hellboy and the first volume of Atomic Robo.

Started reading Atomic Robo last night, it's good fun. Low seems interesting and Hellboy has always been on my "To-do" list.

I think in terms of Marvel/DC, I'll probably just continue to pick up Moon Knight and leave it at that. Perhaps pick up one or two recommended older stories or classics that I haven't got around to reading.

So now my LAPTOP is giving me grief, too! For those to whom the news escaped (fuck this keyboard), my most-likely-PSU died on me on Saturday, and I've been using a laptop ever since. Well NOW my laptop wants to be a bitch, too! Always crashing unpredictably whenever I'm watching youtube clips. The cause is possibly either outdated or corrupted (gotta love the lack of specificity, eh?) driver software, so I gotta deal with THAT shit now, too!

Fuck, at this rate, I'll finalize my plans to complete my new computer, I'll piece it all together, install the OS, download all the updates, and AS SOON AS I feel ready to go to enjoy my new computer, the fucker will most likely burst into flames just to spite me! >_<

Also, fuck this keyboard.

It wasn't just Rosh leaving, but the marked, strategic tack that took place after him. A more conciliatory tone was taken towards Bethesda, in the hopes of??? They still black balled NMA. No access, filtered out mentions to NMA on their forums etc.

I'm visiting Japan for the next two weeks and have spent the last three days in Tokyo,it's been great.

First two days I was being eaten alive by the jet-lag, but I still managed to have a little excursion to the local fish market and a Shinto shrine.

Yesterday I was feeling a little better so I made a daytrip out to Akihabara, the "Electric District". It was pretty amazing, there was so much cool stuff there. I went to "Super Potato" and got my hands on a Super Famicom (Japanese SNES) and a few games for it, primarily Super Metroid and Megaman X (Or "Rockman X" as it seems to be called).Which has me very excited to play. I'll probably pick up an old TV to play them on from a local shop when I get back to Blighty. On top of that I also got an N64 with Goldeneye, Ocarnia of Time and Mario 64. It's all very exciting, I can't wait to play them, especially Super Metroid.

There was some other stuff worth mentioning too, I spent a good amount of time in the Game Station playing the various '"arcade" games, Street Fighter,Metal Slug and even a bit of Left 4 Dead 2(Modded to have anime characters for the Survivors). I ended up stopping by the Gundam cafe for a quick bite and went to Mandarake, where I picked up some Godzilla merch and a rather unique statue of the Black Knight from Dark Souls.

All in all, Akihabara was great fun. I went up to Ueno briefly for a stop at the National Museum, and I planned to go to the Zoo too, but the humid Japanese summer proved too much for the pale Englishman, and I was forced to retreat back to my hotel.

Gonna head off to Hakone National Park today, I'm spending a few days there. I'll also be staying in Kyoto and Hiroshima.

Sorry if this is too blog-ish, but I thought it might be of some small interest, and I thought it was the right place to post it.

Anyone else here been to Akihabara?

Do you know Japanese or did you survive with only english? I have been thinking about taking a trip there as my first goal for my savings but I don't know if I would have to also take a couple of months of Japanese beforehand.

The only Japanese I know are the phrases "Yes", "No", "Thank You" and "Excuse Me". I've done perfectly well speaking only English, pretty much everyone speaks English here.
