GTA V

Don't quite know what to think of it yet. I wish the trailer revealed something about the protagonist. Niko made IV for me.

Same here. Niko was the best GTA protagonist ever for me.
But the trailer looks beautiful.

Still would of liked a new location instead of the same ol same ol. The GTA/Rockstar universe is interesting enough to stand on it's own, lore wise, even if it is just based off the real world. I would liked for a larger expansion of locations instead of a city that's already been done.

But it does seem like it's going to be just Los Santos, with some surrounding countryside. I like but dislike this at the same time. It might feel rather restricting while playing this and then contemplating San Andreas at the same time. In reality though, San Ferro and Las Venturas where so generic and un-fleshed out when compared to their big brothers in III and Vice. Even, Los Santos felt a little empty. A l larger focus may help the depth of the city, when compared to it's previous iteration.

EDIT: Turns out it is all of San Andreas. Ugh....

I only played about an hour of GTA IV, but from my experience the driving was very unpleasant, which basically killed the game for me. That, and the awesome amount of bugs in the PC version.

Trailer was pretty good.

Still wish it was in Mumbai or some other place back home though :(

So that not only the player but also everyone else drives like a homicidal maniac?

That's almost as bad as putting it in France... actually a French GTA with Jean Reno would be awesome.

That's only those lousy Goans and Tamil who drive bad. 8-)

You only played the first hour of a 30+ hour game? It takes some time to get used to the driving (like in most driving games...) after that it's pretty good even with a kb. I agree that the pc release of IV (don't know how the console versions ran at release) was far from perfect.

I never played an open-world game where I liked the driving. Vice City came closest and even it was a little stiff. When I first played Saints Row 2 it felt unplayable for an hour or so until Igot used to the wonky car handling. It's just the nature of driving in open-world games.

Except Mafia of course.

Mafia had awesome driving. The only game where I actually shifted gears myself.

Nice trailer, just like wooz I also enjoyed San Andreas and will be looking forward to this. Also, could this be the main character?

really uninteresting characters.

That's wrong in so many ways I don't even know where to point at.

Some sites are speculating that's Tommy for Vice City. I think Rockstar put in some lookalikes from older eps on purpose to troll people.

And yeah, so wrong! It's not like Sweet is the most frustrating, hackneyed character of all time.

And fuck Ryder. He's a busta. Ryder. You is a busta.

PS: Woozie was awesome tho.

I don't think that Rockstar is going to include any of the older characters in the new GTA games. Maybe some characters from IV but definitly none from the GTA 3 era. Or maybe they are actually tickling fans a little bit with the trailer. But the guy in the trailer seems to be some guy in his 40's-50's.

Don't know why, but that guy looks really awesome.

Mike Torino was my favorite.

I enjoyed all the GTA titles, with GTA II probably still being my favorite. The least liked one of the pack is Vice City for me, but that's just because I don't like the setting (was an otherwise fun game).

I'm looking forward to drive through the countryside in GTA V. :)

Uh, why? :D I just don't really like that Miami Vice style and the music of this area, that's just it. The missions were still pretty funny.

I honestly think that he was the most fleshed out and real character of any video game to date. Hell, he was more interesting than most movie characters.

I got that sense.
