Gun Control

That’s not what I’m saying, you straw man dumbass, I’m saying that “common sense gun reform” doesn’t fix anything and we have bigger things to worry about in this world than whether or not Joe Redneck wants to own a WWII era MG-42, especially considering that Joe Redneck ISN’T THE ONE KILLING PEOPLE.

It does fix some things. It will not fix everything. But for it to fix something you have to make it nation wide.

And you started the straw maning with that stupid meme. Because apparently that is how communication in political and social topics of a very complex nature works these days. You do not engage with people. You do not go into making arguments explaining your position and trying to reach a consensus. You slap memes on everything.

It's tiring. So when people threw memes around why should I bother to write a wall of text that no one is going to read anyway and taking out of context.

I understand what you’re saying, I simply disagree that it’s an effective use of our time and taxes.

And it was a joke, Crni. I was trying to lighten up the political discourse, not shoot it down. These debates become so hostile so fast that every once in awhile we gotta laugh at ourselves or each other, bring the mood up.

EDIT: also; I always read your walls of text, even if I don’t respond. Love ya, man <3

Is this the thread for cool guns?...

A police officer and at least five other people have died in a "furious" gun battle in Jersey City, in the state of New Jersey, US media report.

Shooting erupted in the Greenville neighbourhood, which is just across the Hudson River from New York City.

If your country has "gun battles" where cops, who look like Rambo, die, maybe your country has a gun problem, eh?

I know Voof is looking at the crotch of that one cop...at the gas mask, of course. :)

That's a nice Image of Iraq. Who knew that they developed so quickly in such a short time after the invasion.

Turns out the shooting was caused by a gun-confiscation bust by the NJPD.

Non-sporting firearms are illegal in New Jersey.

However there were according to police explosives found, so who knows.

It's a Jewish neighborhood. Perhaps a bombing was prevented.

Key word, BOMB.

It wasn't something a regular beat cop could handle. AGAIN, SWAT is not 'regular' police. Your AVERAGE policeman does not look like that. Maybe people should be HONEST and post a picture of a regular officer and SWAT together. Also the post mentions FEDERAL AGENTS. Are feds now lumped in with cops?

Goddamn, everyone who screams police militarization always tries to pull this shady shit.

I could post a GSG unit and claim they are German 'police'. Its 'politzei' right? Fucking dishonest.

Edit: Didn't check the poster and fell for the trollbait.

I hope them Virginia boys don't get ass-fucked by some National Guards. Probably nothing will happen, but I could see something like Waco but bigger happening if the stars align or something.

While Posse Comitatus Act doesn't apply. To NG, on legal grounds, it would be political suicide to use the NG in this manner. So far, the only time the guard has been brought in were times of extreme trouble. One was integrating schools. The other was massive riots that so far have been rare. Both riots were a result of police forces not trained to handle them. Since the most recent riots in memory have been put down by police, using leas than lethal means, I'd say the chances off it happening are slim to none.

Ah yes, because banning something never leads to people turning to black market dealers to get said product, right?

And total freedom without any kind of regulations or laws always leads to more safety and improvements for everyone, right?
