It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Now show me where I was defending him. And please, be specific.
How about instead of doing that, I just ignore you? Bye.
Because you can't actually show me because I didn't do it. But I do applaud and support your decision to ignore me.

Now show me where I was defending him. And please, be specific.
How about no?

I don't engage in stupid arguments that have obvious answers after SomeGuy here has people debating the definition of dehydration and water.

The guy is running around calling people autistic, dyslexic, unable to speak English, sad, stupid, and all manner of things, and you chose to bother someone for calling him out on this behavior rather than call him out for it.

I'm not engaging you any further. Good day.
And I guess to respond after the edit. It seemed to me other people were calling out SomeGuy just fine. I just thought it was ironic the way RangerBoo did it and pointed that out.

And I've also seen those, or similar, insults from some of the regulars here so I didn't really think most of the insults themselves were really that big of a deal. And if they are, I'm sure a mod at some point will come in and deal with it.

(And you're actually engaging in the argument right now. You started that engagement between us.)

Well judging from how many people agree with me and Irwin over you I say you have lost this argument. So drop the self righteous teacher act and move on.

What argument? Again, what I did was point out how you attacked and insulted him, while saying he was the one making attacks and insults and condemning him for it. You, and everybody else can go back and read your initial post or where I quoted it and see just that. That shouldn't be up to interpretation at all.

And sure, I can sort of see how somebody could take that as a defense because of him, but as I explicitly said before, it wasn't. Just because I spoke about something you did doesn't automatically mean that I'm taking any sides there. And that assumption and rush to judgment serves nobody.

You were the one making a big deal out nothing. Everyone here is sick and tried of Someguy37 trolling and I could really give a damn if I called him a idiot troll because he is one. Stop acting the the self righteous teacher.

I actually wasn't making it into that big of a deal. Though it did sort of get that way with subsequent replies. Mostly, I'd say, because of the wrong assumptions from you guys, or the missinterpretion of what I was doing. (Even though I clearly stated over and over what I was doing and why I made that post.)

It all came tumbling down alright.

Is it just me or has FO4 seen an even larger shift from the existing and sort of Beth fanbases?

Will Beth actually give a shit for their next games? Will their future fans keep giving passes with the usual, "Oh that's just Bethesda's charm, you gotta LARP in the game to have fun" rather than holding their feet to the fire and actually improve their tired formulas?

I'm against the idea of season passes. Pre-ordering DLC just doesn't sound like a smart idea to me.

Speaking of AAA games getting shite scores on Metacritic, Just Cause 3 is currently at 4.7 (76 critics), Battlefront is at 3.5 (71) and BlOps III is at 2.7 (73).
Lula: The Sexy Empire has a higher user-score than Fallout 4. to fair, all of its 10/10 user scores are just "fapfapfapapfffapfapfapfap" and similar reviews. Gotta love Metacritic :D

Black Ops 3
PC - 73 , 2.7
Xbox 360 - 70 , 1.3
Xbox One - 82 , 4.0
Playstation 3 - 70 , 1.2
Playstation 4 - 81 , 4.6

Just Cause 3
PC - 76 , 4.7
Playstation 4 - 77 , 7.1
Xbox One - 73 , 7.3

Battlefront
PC - 71 , 3.5
Xbox One - 75 , 4.4
Playstation 3 - 72 , 5.0

Wow...

Just... Wow..

Er...

I dunno what to say really.

[edit]

Here are other games I'd consider pretty big getting mixed or negative user scores which I find kind of surprising:
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
PC - 78 , 7.1
Xbox - 81 , 6.1
PS - 73 , 6.5

Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide
PC - 79 , 5.9

Dragon Age Inquisition
PC - 85 , 5.8
PS 3 - N/A , 5.0 (What, it's not even worth reviewing for the PS 3 and Xbox 360?)
PS 4 - 89 , 7.4
Xbox 360 - N/A , 5.0
Xbox One - 85 , 6.9

Need For Speed
PC - N/A , 5.5
Xbox - 64 , 8.1 (huh, first time the user score is better than the review score for the ones I've listed)
PS - 67 , 7.6 (And again.. Dunno what to make of that)

Ass Creed Syndicate
PC - 77 , 5.6
Xbox - 77 , 5.8
PS - 76 , 6.6

Game Of Thrones (Telltale)
PC - 69 , 6.5
Xbox 360 - N/A , 7.4
Xbox One - N/A , 7.3
PS 3 - N/A , 7.3
PS 4 - 64 , 6.7

I'm a bit surprised by all of this. I wonder how next year's big title releases are going to look like when it comes to user score.

What I find interesting is that pretty much all games have lower user scores for the PC versions, showing how littlem any of those developers actually care about releasing a good PC version. Obviously, when you have to deal with clunky UIs, worse graphics and bugs because it is just a console-port, people will be more frustrated, and they will need a way to vent those frustrations.

Those Black Ops 3 scores…

Now I’m awfully curious as to why it’s so hated. I mean, I can comprehend why old school gamers despise the series, but I was not expecting it to have such low scores on Metacritic. (Un)fortunately, my friend has it, so maybe I can find out today.

It seems to be either that or Battlefront for some people right now for a lot of people.

It's kind of what Metacritic user scores do, honestly. Hate on games that its cool to hate, and ape games it's cool to like. Or that one time when a Russian youtuber got his fans to bomb Company of Heroes 2 into a 2 score because it showed atrocities the Red Army actually did despite the game definitely not being a broken mess.

I have no lost love for the traditional press scores, which are way too compromised by shit like exclusive access, review events and marketing contracts. But Metacritic user scores are no better, being infested by 0/10 trolls and 10/10 fanboys.

Apparently it had even more serious performance issues than normal on release.

I've watched the video and while he sounded very butthurt, he did have some good points. I doubt that "scorched earth" meant burning houses with your own civilians inside. Or that every german soldier wore the ROA/Vlasov armband, making them all into Russian Liberation Army that speaks German.

Even you have to admit those were some weird design choices.

Ugh, Youtubers. Their zombie armies can devastate anything good. (In fairness, I’m guessing that Company of Heroes 2 probably paints a flowery picture of the American military, but the Red Army’s misbehaviour shouldn’t be ignored either.)

The way I see it, the only reason why we’re still discussing Metacritic is because Bethesda used it as a qualifier against Obsidian. If they hadn’t, I suspect that this thread wouldn’t exist.

Not trying to rehash that argument I already had but I personally think Metacritic scores generally settle down at a fair impression of a games quality if you look at them the right way. If you read through reviews on all sides, look at the score, take into account trolls and their effect, you can come to a decent conclusion about a game. I've never been lead wrong.

That's why I agree with Fallout 4 having such low user scores. You can call it trolls, but I've read all the reviews I can and for the most part I'd say the score is fair.

Is it at least a fun shooter, like Doom? :look:

Fallout 4? Yea it's a decent shooter. If you like playing borderlands you will enjoy it. I personally don't like borderlands.

I definitely enjoyed it for many hours. After that it got boring because that's all I was doing.

I’m guessing that you disliked Borderlands because of personal taste, rather than flaws with the game per se. Is this correct?
