Damn you Americans with your dispersed timezones !

Where is obsidian located? I'm guessing it's already morning in most states?

Same. I'm sure I'll eventually get up to $140 for that cloth map though.

I'm a sucker for cloth maps.

I will go for $280 if I get my new job next week. Kicked in around $300 for Wasteland 2 and this must be totally worth at least the same.

The thing just started and they already have 38 K dollars. Incredible.

AWESOME! Good thing I'm frugal as hell in general so I can splurge on stuff like this.
An Obsidian original IP - the best outcome, IMO.

Yeah, I'm pretty "bleh" about RTwP too. Rest of it sounds exciting, though.

Well, they said they want to bring games like Baldur's Gate back so I'm fine with RTwP as that's what those games had. And they were awesome.

    mmmmm...Planescape Torment. <3 <3 <3

Having recently played Wizardry 8 and Jagged Alliance 2, I'm kinda glad it's not turn-based. It's just too much time spent in combat whenever you have to cycle through 6 characters each round. I WANT TO EXPLORE!

Quick question : do the devs get more money (salary) from making games the conventional way or the kickstarter way?

Kickstarter definitely. It cuts out the middle man, the publisher.
