What BoS division do you speculate is in Boston?

Well Bethesda's Fallout games seem to play cliches the previous games deconstructed and parodied completely straight for some reason. Not only did they pull the "AI REVEAL!!!!!" even tho the Shi Emperor was already that, they are also pulling the "Human Popsicle ex military dude" character archetype despite the Sierra Army Depot already having an NPC that destroys that very concept with prejudice.

I really hope it is the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel. I loved Tactics so I'll be excited to see them acknowledged by Bethesda even though they will feel shoehorned in. At the same time though, I will probably be disappointed if it is them. Bethesda will possibly ruin the faction in some way and have a mediocre story to back it up.

I don't think so, the Concept art they showed with the BOS showed the regular ugly t-45 armor, same with the artbook preview.

But I've seen something in the Fallout 4 trailers that looks really very close to the Fallout 2 Enclave helmet on the Power Armor. So ... who knows?

I made this thread on the Bethesda Fallout 4 forum. I made 3 post, the last post I made I copied & pasted here. I haven't read all of the post, just scanned it, but it seems to have turned into a good debate.

http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1541528-what-brotherhood-of-steel-division-is-in-boston/

My last reply to that thread.

"Bethesda doesn't care about treading on West Coast territory, and Obsidian didn't care about treading on East Coast territory. New Vegas takes place not long after Fallout 3, and the Legion was in the East Coast, their biggest threat and challenge yet is the NCR, said by Caesar himself.

The airship, that name for one as I said doesn't mean a thing. Every BoS division goes by the same code, ranking system and theme. Knights, and Paladins. The Lyon's are white knight's in shiny white armor, the West and MwBoS are just Knights, they are a grey area.

Fallout 4 takes place a few weeks after Fallout 3 - Todd Howard

Broken Steel takes place around the same time or a little before Fallout 4 - The Pre War Hub speculated this, and it makes sense.

DC BoS has vertibirds, yes but so does the West Coast.

You know what else the West Coast has other then vertibirds? Airships, and are the reason the MwBoS had airships.

Their is only two known BoS divisions in Bethesda's Fallout lore that make sense to have the airship specifically that we see in Fallout 4 given everything said above. The West Coast or MwBoS.

Then you take in the *** Spoilers from Achievements below, Warning ***

The fact their is 3 joinable factions in the game, one being The Railroad, the other being the Minutemen. All 3 factions can't have the same karma, or morality. They can't all 3 be goody goods.

DC Lyon's are the most goody good BoS faction (by far) ever created in the Fallout universe. Then New Vegas's "MAY STEEL BE WITH YOU!" cheese BoS from NV being right behind Lyon's in the lame department. That is the only knock I have with NV, though, and that is a good thing.

Anyway again my speculation or guess remains, West Coast. Or a entirely new BoS division introduced in Fallout 4 that could be from who know's where and that would be cool too to be honest."

New Vegas' BoS never, ever uttered that retarded line. That was all 3's BoS.

I took that from someone here that said that, I honestly don't remember if it was F3 or NV that had that line. That makes sense now, man that is good news actually. I edited my post on the Bethesda forums, doesn't look like anyone quoted it yet thankfully.

Okay sure.

Dr. Fallout unless I am going crazy which is possible, I think you were the one that originally said it hah. You edited your post though so who knows.

Well everyone, its been a fun speculation, but it is now over. The game takes place 210 years after the bombs fall, it has been confirmed. That blows every possible speculation out the window, its who the hell knows now. It could be any division, and it would sadly make sense with a 10 year gap between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, anything can happen within 10 years.

So I tell everyone now, prepare for a 20 year old Arthur Maxson to be aboard the Pyrdwen. Prepare for no grey area's here, the white knights of DC have come to save the people of Boston. May Steel be with you all.

R.I.P. Brotherhood of Steel, R.I.P.

Or they can pull off a face-heel turn and make it so that Arthur is more of a ruthless bastard like his ancestors. With Bethesda anything goes really. It's not like they were bound by already established lore of how BoS operated before, why would they be consistent now?

I read through this thread and the one posted at Bethesda forums. What I think is that Bethesda is so married to BoS that the only canon ending is to ally with BoS in 4. How else will the protagonist get to use the vertibirds if he/she doesn't ally with them? Since they are married to the idea that BoS is Fallout, they will bring DC BoS to Boston. Perhaps Lyons has died, and Sarah has taken over with Maxson trying to overthrow her leadership.

10 years later makes Sarah about 36, Arthur about 20. She might be old enough to actually lead, with a young upstart know it all Maxson constantly challenging her authority. One of the choices to be made might be whom to back within the organization. At any rate, keeping with the faction we already know (Lyons) would at the very least keep Bethesda from mucking up any more of the lore the fans of the older games seem to hold so dear.
