Actually, what quotetheraven90 is telling is not an isolated incident.
It happened to me in several playthroughs as well, the guy even entered a casino in order to get me.

That happened to me with the Van Graff guard, I didn't even get a notification that he was engaging me in combat, I got into the Wrangler and he entered and started wrecking Havoc, but I think that had something to do with the Cass Companion quest? it was on a newer save file.

Yea, if you complete Cass' quest the non violent way all the Van Graff guys become violent towards you, even the door guy.

thats weird, my oldes save file (pre patch) has them friendly, even after installing the patches. well now I gotta remeber that for future runs, if I save Cass I have to avoid the Van Graffs...
yeah thats something introduced in the newest patch, apparently word has gotten back to Gloria and shes pissed. As far as i know there is no penalty for smoking Gloria and Comp. dispite what Jackson might have said. It does kind of suck for an EW user though

I despise the Van Graffs for even thinking about harming Cass. I usually let the terrorist in on guard duty and let them die a horrible exploding death. That route usually ends with a plasma caster in my inventory.

Excpet that not everyone in the world knows that that is an euphemism for gay. Still, it's clear enough, even just because it's the opposite of Lady Killer.

While lockpicking the safe at the Crimson Caravan office I got caught and Boone began to slaughter everyone on the premises. He then walked up to me and said, "Look I know the NCR has problems, but I fought with these men. I'll be damned before I betray them. This stops right now." and I had to tell him, "Alright I won't do anything else to harm the NCR." to get him to stay. And I didn't fire a single shot.

A Bittersprings flashback?
It's like Cannibal Johnson's Navarro Flashbacks, I am at teh Legate Camp compelting the independent path, I just killed Lanius and then I decide to kill the Brahmins just for the hell fo it, but then for some reason Cannibal starts atatcking me, I had to kill the guy, wich was Something I didn't feel good doing.

It wasn't a Bittersprings flashback, it's what he says when you kill NCR soldiers while he's your companion. He killed everyone in the Crimson Caravan office single handedly then walked up and blamed me for it. 
Edit: I think there might be a reason Boone has the second lowest intelligence of all the companions, just above Rex. He's tied with Lily at 3 intelligence. Boone might just bring an all new meaning to the "SPECIAL" system.

I started a new character yesterday to mess around with OWB perks. I gained some NCR reputation and headed into NCRCF to find Meyers. Lo and behold, an NCR Ranger showed up right smack dab in the middle of the lobby to hand me the radio. Suffice to say, the poor guy didn't last long.
