Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

Some moron who doesn't realize that you could have a thriving economy in the commonwealth while making the entire glowing sea a battleground to appeal to the action shooter crowd.

And make fat loads of cash so that Lucas could do his own artistic projects.

I didn't know that you either make art or money. No midle ground or what?

The "Lava Lamp" supposedly is a capacitator that feeds a barrel stripped from a laser rifle, with the beam further focused by the lenses at the end. The only thing that visually doesn't make any sense is the loading mechanism. The weapon uses Fusion Cells and every crank of the handle loads the charge of another Fusion cell in the chamber, but...where's the loading chamber for the fusion cells?

Of course you can make art that makes loads of money.

A new Hope wasn't that, it was happy coincidence.

Upon rewatching the first six episodes I felt like A New Hope and Return of the Jedi weren't as good as I remembered. They were mediocre films, which is more than I can say for the prequels, and Space Hobbit-I mean Episode 7.

Episode V however... Far surpassed my memories. That was a fantastic movie, even outside of the context of Star Wars.

Yeah critics considered Episode 5 the best apparently.

Many considered Star Wars to be mediocre, and it was not without criticism, even when New Hope was becoming succesfull. If I remember correctly, there is this anecdote where quite a lot of movie makers laughed at Lukas when they saw A New Hope for the first time. And to be honest, it is possible that Star Wars seriously killed a part of the movie buisness, because now it was clear what gets the big money in. And merchandizing took over a lot in the later years, I don't even denny that.

But what always strikes me with the first 3 movies, is how much love and pasion they have thrown in, like those little details, you know. The special effects, the art, the overdone acting in some cases. Sure, it is schlock. But it is very entertaining schlock. I feel, the people that made it, made it all more for the fun, rather than just money. I can't say the same about the Prequels or the new movies. I mean have you seen the mate paintings for Star Wars 1 2 and 3? CGI can't even get close to that feeling. But that is me.

Actually i would hate the game even more. Glowing Sea is only place i got "wasteland" vibe, turning it into a battle zone would be horrible.

Call me old fashioned but i think providing at least 3 different ways (manipulation, stealth, rambo) to accomplish any objective would be better.

With at least three factions, each supporting a different game style: "You hate things and want to kill them? Join BoS today enlist as a Paladin and exterminate those scum with your plasma rifle!". Are you up for some espionage? Then Railroad needs you! We need someone capable of betrayal or even assasination. Are you one of those "nerds" who solves their problems through diplomacy, science and trade? It's your lucky day The Institute is made of such nerds!

Episode 7 was episode 4 remade for the millenial generation. The girl was luke, the black guy was han, han was obi wan and the emo kid was darth vader. In episode 8 i expect luke will assume the role of Yoda

And Empire is far and away the best of the entire series

Question: does it have anything as retarded [or wors] than "the Superhuman gambit" quest? I travelled all the way to see what I thought was going to be something like The Hub [main trade center in the region], but instead got twice the disappointment: this retard quest with two insanely goofy characters, and a travesty of a "settlement", smaller and voider than Arefu...

I wasn't taking Fallout 3 seriously after I needed two nukes to kill a mutant [nothing should survive two nukes, especially in a closed enviroment], but these two things [Superhuman Gambit + Canterbury Commons] made drop the game to never look at it again. At least I was saved from the anger most people felt in Littlelamplight [I only read about it here in NMA].

Surely Fallout 4 doesn't have something as obnoxious as these things, does it?

It's far worse. It has a quest about an immortal family that has access to an immortality serum extracted from an acient alien artifact.

And a cure for the FEV (guess its easy for a Super Mutant to switch back into being a human now) and a human school teacher marrying his Miss Nanny robot and Christ a lot of stuff. Fallout 4 maybe one of the dumbest game released in a while.

What could possibly g-no wait it's bethesda nevermind they'll find a way to fuck it up.

Actually, if we kept the exact same dialogue from FNV, I bet you the voiced protagonist wouldn't have been nearly as bad, and the only big problem with the new perk system is the lack of perk checks.

No, that's not the only big problem, the new Perk and leveling system is broken to the core.

I'm not even sure it is possible to describe how utterly broken the perk and leveling system is, I remember forgetting the fact that I leveled up 4 times but didn't take anything once I went into my pipboy and it told me to level up so I went to the perk chart annddd avoided using the points because I had to reach level 30 something to rank up my sneak and rifles skill. Not like I was going to start putting perks into things I wasn't going to use like all of the perks in the Luck tree besides Bloody Mess.

Fallout 4 is makes leveling up SO boring.

Obsidian: Bethesda, this is how you make a fallout game (Proceeds to blow Bethesda the fuck out with their own game engine and assets)

Bethesda: Lol nope, It just works! I don't want to talk about realism in a game that has mutants and laser guns! Expansive Dialogue system and Skill system? Lol, who wants that in an RPG?

Even if Fallout 4 had the dialogue of Fallout New Vegas you'd still have the same shitty voice acting from the same five voice actors which wouldn't do the lines justice.

With the new Leveling system they managed to both dumb the previous system the fuck down and make it less straightforward and friendly at the same time.

Before: Oh I need to put more points into the guns skill so I can unlock this perk and meet the skill requirement for the new Rifle.

Now: I need to level up 10 times so I can get a slight increase on my pistols but I also need to put points into Perception to get the Rifle perks.... Damn, I am gonna need to level up 3 times to get enough points on perception, but the rifle perk is the only thing that interests me...
