Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

wow, the Dialogue for the chaotic-neutral/"BAD" choice is fucking awful so far, to the point it's hard for me to actually listen to it. It's back to Mustache-twirling idiotic villainy, telling people "GO....AWAY" when a simple "Oh, didn't we already do this? I don't have time for this moment, sorry" or anything else like "Well I'm kind of busy, so uh" comes off as a better tone of passive-aggressive/neutral-chaotic.

What the hell? The VATS for Melee combat highlights the entire body again? What the flying fuck, Bethesda...

Dog is on fire. Dog casually walks around on fire while a grenade exploded right next to him. Dog don't give shit.

Skyrim's character animations actually look better to me. Less stops and starts, and less weirdly jointed appendages
What I liked about Skyrim was that the devs realized the limitations of the Createbryo engine and worked around it by making the faces and other assets stylized rather than realistic, painting vs photo you know? That kind of stuff works in fantasy games, not sure about this game. I really would have liked if they had made the effort though :(

I'll give you Konami a bit, but you said "getting burned" and Konami acting like cunts isn't "burning" people on MGS5. It's still a stellar game people enjoy regardless. Arkham Knight with the PC port yes, and I have no idea what you're referencing with Destiny.

Seriously, enough of your high horse bullshit. Thanks. It'd be nice if you could actually discuss things like an adult rather than making a vague statement and trying to call someone stupid.

Yes, the Triple AAA industry is doing so well these days they have to fall back on monetizing on modds (See Steam, Bethesda), factoring in pre-orders in their calculations, shuffling out day one DLCs, garbage like season passes where people can buy content that is not even really in production yet, or EAs last fiasco with the different special editions where you buy the game for around 120$ without offering you any real content. We are talking about companies that spend rather 200 or even 300 million of Dollar on marketing campaigns rather than extending the development of the game for 1 or 2 more months.

Games by big publishers have to deal with a lot of serious issues. Not unlike the movie industry. In fact they are extremly comparable even.

I think with so many people getting burned on AAA titles people are being slightly more critical.

The last big one I remember is AssCreed Unity, and WatchDogs before that but overall people are as ready as ever to jump into AAA games. They probably should be more skeptical though.

Dude, are you serious? Arkham Knight? Destiny? Konami's two latest debacles? I could go on a three page tangent, but I won't bother because you are seriously lacking some knowledge required to have a decent debate.

I'll stay on this horse thank you very much. I'll keep acting like I know better than you until you prove otherwise. You've proven to be belligerent enough to where this tone is justified. You seem to be clueless in regards to pretty much all the shit you are trying to prove. Konami has burned quite a few bridges especially with PES on the PC and don't even get me started on MGS V. Destiny should be obvious so I won't explain. Most of the gaming communities around the web are actually aware of the problems with AAA games, so you acting as if this is false is baffling. There are several other examples I could use, but I won't further stray from the OP.

Man, the poor Q&A guys at Bethesda must be frenetically programming a day 1 patch right now, they can't count on getting a free pass on the silliness on the first week now that people have seen their suicidal AI and glitched animations like that part where the dude tries to pull up the terminal and jsut gets stuck on the counter. lol.

So you're a cunt and rather than have a normal discussion you've chosen to be just that. Gotcha. I'm aware of quite a few AAA problems, I just brought up two that came to mind while I also played GTA5 at the same time. Destiny? That's a game many people like despite it's "Go on the internet" narrative and bad former Dinklage voice acting. No one got burned with MGSV despite microtransactions as I already said. PES? Yes, that is a game I know nothing about because I don't give a shit about soccer.

Christ man, you call me belligerent and you act like that to a totally normal statement? You need help, and you're not half as smart as you think you are.

well let's face it. This is why companies don't like when street dates get broken, because it prevents them from bullshitting their way out of laziness in the development process.

I agree with half of that. You know what? I've been unfair.

Witcher 3 came out this year I think it's pretty fair to compare them.
Witcher 3 has a huge open world, it also has hair physics which is something Fallout 4 obviously doesn't have. Also reports from the Spanish Leaker indicate the game does have performance drops on later morepopulated areas. Those performance patches didn't suddenly change all the models and animations.

You didn't read what I said. You're comparing a game with numerous patches to a game that isn't out yet, that is the part that can't really be compared. The lip animations in The Witcher 3 aren't great either. I'm watching them now and Jerry's lips just flap. Like right here:

https://youtu.be/ki9cHLTswTg?t=523

The original vocal track for Witcher 3 is Polish. Do the mouth flaps match with that audio track?

The Day 1 Patch should remove the dumb HDRI map from Codsworth's body, it seriously looks terrible. I am already seeing the mods removing it and probably replacing it with some nice metallic textures.

Eh, we will see. I don't think they are in panic mode just yet. They know their player base just to well ... it is one of the good examples where a user-/fanbase can be it's own worst enemy. The modders, the overhype of the game and the rabbit defenders of all that is Bethesda make it pretty much impossible to get any critical opinion to them or even forcing Beth to actually improve on things that are not working well in their games for a decade now - it is always the same complains comping up, UI, animations, facial expression and bugs, tons of bugs. Sometimes game breaking. We all know that a perfect game is impossible to achieve, but seriously when ALL kind of criticism gets shut up by "you can not make such a big game without bugs!", than it is impossible to have a rational discussion about how to IMPROVE the situation at least.

God Lord! Red Dead Redemption, which came out 5 years ago, looks 100x better then from what I have seen from Fallout 4. The uncanny valley feeling I get with the faces and animation , the lighting and flat and low res textures. Just... ugh. :irked:

Fallout 4 has already gone gold, so there is really no point in arguing that the comparison is unfair, unless Bethesda make patches to improve mouth animations, which I highly doubt they will care enough to do so.

So...hold on. Preston and the repair guy tell you there's a fusion cell in the basement you need to get for the armor, but he gives you fifty of the things after you do the quest? Do I have that right?

If they are just regular fusion cells I can't see them being too rare...

These won't last long:

So is there another way to complete that Skyscraper on rails shoot out, you know like talking your way out of that huge compound or maybe some alternate sneaking route? Hmmmmm?
