Backstory is back in 2017 I went on a roadtrip with some good friends around the western US states for a long old while. Naturally I made sure we spent a day driving around the Mojave visiting all the NV locales, and then the plan was to head into California via Death Valley the following morning. We ended up staying at a dirt cheap casino outside of death valley that night where the entire place stank of ancient cigarettes and zombified elderly people were on the slots until 4am. Air conditioning barely worked and it was mid August so I was melting alive.
Was worth it so we could take our time in death valley though. Cool place.
