And my adventures overseas are over for now, back to Colombia....
you're so lucky.
it has just started snowing like mofo and the snow is all over the place

i hate snow

You're from Poland, right? You think you got snow? Here's a pic from a jog/slog through snow that I went on a couple of days ago. Since then it's snowed more I think. Sorry for the crappy quality, my cell phone is ancient.

It looked kinda like this in my town. It lasted for a day or two though, now it's all nice and not snowy. I know winter in the north is hardcore, but I hate snow here anyway.
2011/2012 winter was awful, -31*C and snow everywhere. I wouldn't mind low temperatures and stuff, but my hatred for snow is strong. 2012/2013 wasn't that bad, but it was snowing from December to April. Awful.

Eww, blood in steak... Nothing beats a nice roast or chop or steak that's cooked all the way through, without any pinkness, but keeping all the flavor and the moisture of its juiciness intact. MUCH tougher to pull off than simply burning the steak or searing it and taking it off the grill at a medium rare, but no better way to go than that.

I have a few favorites meals...Swiss Steak, Shepherds Pie, Meatloaf, and being an Okie and all, I love me some fried tators. Throw in some jalapenos and onions and fry that shit up. Might throw some cheese on top, or just a little ketchup. Yeah, I'm a redneck. Big whoop, ya wanna fight about it?

Here in Europe we eat blood often.
It has slowly dawned on me, that most Americans don't. One of our many, very specific food traditions that did not cross over the Atlandic, probably due to the lack of need.
"Guys, what about sheep's head? Fermented sheep's testicles? Sheep's penis?"
"Yeaaaaah.... no. It's a NEW land we're looking for, you guys have fun with the testicles."
"Fermented testicles! >:'I"

I never ate a testicle in my life, but blood-sausages! M-m-mmm!

"Arroz Atollado", no idea if Atollado can even be translated into english, I am not even sure it means anything in spanish, it's yellow rice with carrots, beans, corn, and chicken, beef and pork cut up in small cubes.
For a more international one, BBQ Ribs with Mashed Potatoes.

In Colombia we eat blood too (mixed with rice and some beans) Rellena which is the same as blood pudding, we also eat all the possible organs of the animal, Chicken hearts, Cow tongue, etc. Only thing I am not into is the Fried Sheep testicles, it's traditional here but I am not into having balls in my mouth.
There is also "Root soup" which is not made out of a plant, but rather the bull's root, i.e. the Penis, but that's food from the other side of the country so it's not that big here.

People eat hogs feet and other such grossness. Yuck.

Oh yes, that's probably for the same reason also. Poor communities finding it necesary to nibble up the entire pig, not just "the best parts".
I'm not really against that, but I really like having the privilege to pick fillets :D
I also draw a line at fermented/rotten food. Idunno about the rest of Europe, but Scandinavia (and possibly the British Isles) were much less productive than warmer, southern lands, and both Norway, Sweden and Denmark have fermented-food-staples, all of which taste dreadful, have a horrible reputation, and scares youth away from continuing the tradition.

Countrysiders are typically much more open to consuming the whole animal. Not too surprising, really.
A Norwegian comedian once threw out, while talking about food, "Why is it, that every time you visit some farmer community, they not only serves you sheep's head, but they begin to compete for the eyes - always insisting that the eyes are the yummyest part!"

I bet you don't have to be Norwegian to recognize this attitude, of being a city boy, going to the countryside, and suddenly finding a weird eagerness for shit you wouldn't even touch with a stick :D
"For desert - fermented - "
"Nonononono"
"Testicles! They're the best part!"

This argument as stated above isn't a "Country vs country" argument. It is a "Rural vs Urban vs Suburban" over income squared argument.

Suburbans are the fattest, due to having an Urban mentality of the "grocery store" and sedentary jobs without the income to buy healthy food or in a lot of cases do not have the ability to cook their own food.

I'm a Marvel nut, so I have to gush. This movie will fucking rock. There are so many elements to these movies, they work on so many different levels, it truly is a dream come true. Ant-Man isn't looking too bad either.

Just to be clear, my original mention of Americans was about the blood-sausage in particular. I then was reminded of other foods in a "similar vein" - for the same reasons, but I have still not heard much about American blood-sausage specifically. Blood is perfectly consumable (and quite tasty!), so it would surprise me if it does not exist (I just haven't heard of).

I find it an interesting thought because in some cultures, blood is almost a staple, but kindov camoflaged as "just sausages", like Spanish morcilla. Norwegian blood sausages were common dinner food when I grew up, I'm not so sure if it still is.

Typically fried in a pan, with a sprinkle of sugar. Blood is sweet, so the sugar goes well with it :D

Pig's feet are delicious, americans waste too much of the animal.
Just not true. In fact, it's totally the opposite. It riles up all the animal rights activists that chicken "spare parts" get ground up and fed back to the chickens as part of their feed. During the Mad Cow scares a few decades ago (damn, I really am old?) it was the fact that dead cows were "recycled" into other cows that made people afraid that the entire meat packing industry had been tainted and all beef was inedible. The average American might not have any interest in food made FROM extremities and such, but that doesn't mean those who have them don't make use of them.

I enjoy taking an entire bird and making sandwiches, pies, soups, and other things out of the whole animal. =)

I don't get Avengers 2, weren't they building up to Thanos? Something tell me this one will be just a filler fan service sequel, not that I will mind that, but it's kind of disappointing. Also it seems it's gonna be Iron Man 4.

Let me bring you up to speed...

They are building up to Thanos. The scepter Loki had in Avengers is in the possession of Hydra (mind gem most likely) during Avengers: Age of Ultron, so that is how Thanos is involved...indirectly. Did Luke fight the Emperor in Empire Strikes Back? The Avengers would be destroyed if they faced Thanos right now.

With Tony and Bruce being the creators of Ultron in this story, I have no doubt that they will both play a big role. Avengers: AoU was always going to be about Ultron. Whedon said that to Feige when he was picked for Avengers 1. Ultron might seem like a minor diversion, but this storyline will be key to setting up the registration act, which will be shown in Captain America: Civil War and beyond. Tony saw how vulnerable the world was when he carried that nuke into space, the Ultron program was restarted because of that, as sort of an upgrade to the Iron Legion seen in Iron Man 3. Everything is building towards Tony and Steve butting heads. The heroes will be scattered and the Avengers roster will change, but come Avengers: Infinity War, you can count on the pieces fitting together, with a revised Avengers roster gathering strength for the final battle.

So we have Avengers: AoU tearing the team apart in a sense, no doubt leading straight into Captain America: Civil War. Ant-Man will be following Avengers: AoU, but it won't have any drastic effects on the MCU as a whole imo. I think Pym will be involved in some characters pasts perhaps, but I don't think the heist involved in that movie will involve an infinity stone.

One thing you will notice about the Phase Three lineup is a lot of new faces and strife between the original Avengers, like Thor: Ragnarok, and Captain America: Civil War. This is fallout from Avengers: AoU. Thor will be out of the picture due to Asgard being destroyed or close to it. Captain America and Iron Man will be going at it due to Civil War. Hulk won't even get a solo title, nor will the SHIELD agents, Widow and Hawkeye. Some have speculated about Hulk being sent into space, much like what happened in Planet Hulk, but I'm not so sure. Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, will no doubt be a surprise hit in that November timeslot in 2016. I'm thinking GotG 2 will have more to do with Thanos right now, since he is on the other side of universe, playing a master game of chess, allowing all the pieces to fall into place before striking. Notice they don't have a subtitle for their movie either. Could be they don't want to reveal it yet due to obvious reasons...

Black Panther brings some diversity to the cast, which I'm sure a lot of people are thankful for. I am eager to see something resembling the Illuminati like in the comics at some point. The bread crumbs are all there. If one has read the comics these movies are borrowing from, it becomes apparent what is happening to some extent. There are a lot of unknowns here though. Where will the Soul and Time gem (stone) be revealed? I would wager one being revealed in Doctor Strange at least. Black Panther has been rumored to be introduced in Captain America: Civil War, indeed, we have Andy Serkis playing Ulysses Klaw in AoU, with a brief clip of what appears to be a Wakandan women, possibly Shuri, so you can count on Wakanda and Vibranium being in AoU. Strange has been name dropped already. The real unknown here is Captain Marvel and Inhumans. I can see Warlock being introduced in GotG 2 at the very least, along with maybe one more original GotG member, hopefully Starhawk, but Captain Marvel and Inhumans are going to play in-between the Avengers: Infinity War movies, so those are hard to decide on.

No doubt the Kree will be involved heavily in Captain Marvel, and having a female superhero in a solo movie is a big deal. The Inhumans are a wild card. In Agents of SHIELD they have already introduced them to some extent, so I am curious where they will go with their story. Attilan will be a location much like Asgard, so will Wakanda for that matter. With most of these properties being unknown to the average moviegoer the upcoming linkup from Marvel Studios is pretty refreshing I think.

If I was a betting man I would count on Loki playing some sort of betrayal in Thor: Ragnarok, he does after all possess a few powerful artifacts, and he does have Thanos to answer to. Warlock should be introduced if Thanos is involved, so I am almost certain we will see him in GotG 2. I'm not sure why they wouldn't honestly. With Marvel Studios amping things up to three movies a year, the plot threads will start to pay off more rapidly too, which is a plus. I'm sure many people thought Thanos would be in Avengers 2 after the stinger at the end of the first one, but I think at the very most he will be in the end credits, or just briefly shown.

I've started eating oats to lose weight. Low in calories and high in fiber. So much so that I eat half as much food when I eat oats and the oats themselves are half the normal calories than most foods. Since I do a lot of eating in front of the PC I actually don't mind that they are bland since I'm just eating to keep hunger away while I do more important things (like gaming).

It makes my shit hard though.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Who is Black Panther? Never heard of him, wasn't that a DC guy?

How are they gonna adapt the Civil War storyline? In Winter Soldier Cap seems to be against an overreaching security so why would he be pro registration here? also as far as the MCU goes none of them have secret identities and there is no implication of a huge expanding Marvel universe in the background with more heroes, Spidey is out of the question too. Will TOny Stark be pro registration? Isn't he like a super Libertarian dude?

The most glorious and anti-kosher/halal food is probably "Schwarzsauer" or "Swattsuur" ("black sour"). It's basically all the spare parts of the pig cooked in litres of pig blood.

Other way around. Cap is against the registration while Stark sides with it.

Now wouldn't an excess of fiber make your shit SOFT? I take a lot of fiber and my shit's always silky smooth... <.<
