So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

That would have the advantage of separating the two lores, hey they can keep PoS why they're at it!

Would love it. Perhaps it would allow smaller and better companies the right's to Fallout 1/2/NV? AND it means they would be pure, as Bethesda's world would be truly divorced from the originals.

Critical acclaim = Money
Just look at the Steam Top sellers, as of now Fallout 4 is at #5 with a 33% discount which comes to $53.56, but GTA 5 is #1 after 11 months of being on PC and 3 years of being on Console! 3 Fucking years! Gta costs $50.24 so it has nothing to do with price range. The difference between these games is that one of them is fantastic and continues to reel in fans after 3 fucking years and the other one was built around hype and will now die with the hype.
Bethesda have actual sales analysts to do this but I'm sure they've come to a similar conclusion, if you want to sell shit then you cannot sell literal shit, they either have to adapt to new standards or give Fallout to someone who can.

About a quarter of the reviews for FO4 are negative, which is surprising to me for a triple A title.

Where did Auto-Docs go? And the slavory business? Dangerous radiation? The RAD status tab? Actual grave digging? And most important of all: cool sunglasses :puppy-dog:?

You could sell the kid from the fridge to the gunners and RAD's still negatively affect you in some unimportant way don't they?

Nah, i miss the RAD tab for losing the ability to see the exact radiation amount and possible debuffs, and the Rad-X and RadAway at a hotkey. Now you have to go throuhg a almost 100 aid item list just for 1 radx which is not even that useful

Arnust asked what happened to the slave trade and RAD's negatively affecting you, now that I think about it I should have quoted him in my reply but what does it matter?
Ah, well the first is for a bit of realism, and the second to make radiation an actual danger (been in Vault 34?) and give a part of the UI to that. Man, if radiation does not debuff you and hasn't a whole tab for it, how can it be important?
I know that it's not as important when whe are getting the zombie island DLS, im just here for the nitpicking

What bothers me is that a lot of the lore "nitpicks" we do, really aren't nitpicks.

Stuff like jet, vertibirds and FEV are just painful to see in Fallout 3 and 4 if you've spent even half a minute playing Fallout and Fallout 2.

Yeah but those were all touched on early on in the thread, now it's all just meaningless nitpicks.

Heh, fair enough.

I recall people nitpicking the Tunnel Snake leather jackets. That was pretty fun. Not sure it was this thread though.

It's a little funnier than that, I mentioned the Jackets in passing as being yet another dumb thing that makes no sense (while even saying that it's still something very minor) but some of the FO3 kids got really offended about that and made the whole discussion about it.

Yeah I remember. Was it Someguy by any chance?

You had a point though. It's a minor point so who cares, but where did those leather jackets come from? :falloutonline:
