"No!" Gandalf stubbornly exclaims, "You will decide... our fate!" "Eh... " Frodo says, beads of sweat growing on his forehead, the eyes of all on him, "M-Moria?"

Gandalf stares, and gives out a long and troubled sigh. Frodo feels a chill envelop him. "So be it... " Gandalf utters, "So... BE it!" he says again, with a palpable dread, "Moria it is then... " he says one more time, giving Frodo a frightful stare.

But here's the thing. Remove aaall the narrative magic shit from Jesus, and you end up with some dude. Brian, for all we care.

And that's a non-issue, I *know* Brian existed! I know Fred, and Bert and Sophie and Jill existed too... :D

Awesome, I set a racing world record in GTAO

Luck though, it's totally drowned in the usual impossible 1-minute laps by now, but hey, hurray!

Do you have a video of it?
    zegh8578
    zegh8578
Nope :D pure luck though. I actually set maybe 4-5 more world records immediately after, for the same reason - the tracks were simply not raced a lot by that hour. By now, I expect they are the usual unbeatable 1-minute records. Goes to show though, the record-tattoo thing remains potentially unlockable. Just go straight for races whenever GTAO updates.

Check my Dino thread. That's what's been keeping me busy. Besides that, I am primarily working (intensely) on a comic book project, which is getting my priority. Dinosaurs will apear though, but with lesser frequency!
Got my first smartphone today. I resisted this long. A huawei. Now I am modern too, like my mom.

I'm the same, I'm not gonna surf a lot of internet or any such. Call, text, and even that would be only now and then. Which is the reason I never really bothered. I was nagged into getting it :V

I am compiling a sheet of all mesozoic tetrapods (all vertebrates minus fish), and you wouldn't believe how many of these are not dinosaurs

It's an ods file, for Open Office. Are all kinds of files attachable? If so, I'll put it in the dinosaur thread by then.

I do that... which is why it bothers me when the eraser grabs the paper from right under my hand - anyway - and crumples it...

    stop erasing so hard.
    or buy some Ticonderoga erasers.

    zegh8578
Hmmm... those I use are very rubbery, and it's out of old habit. I like them cus they leave the paper sparkly white, they really get everything, and don't smudge pencil-lines. But they always grab on to the paper and massacre it... I might have to explore harder erasers. Thanks for the tip! :D
I donated some chaaange to Wikipedia. It directs me to another page, where... it asks for more chaaange. Seriously -.-

He has done a fire arrows one, or maybe he has commented on them, but I'm pretty sure he has dedicated a video to fire arrows. He concludes mostly that they are impractical and unrealistic.

I knew skallagrim allready, and have had long bouts of marathonning him, I CANNOT figure out what kind of Scandinavian he is, he camouflages his accent too well! And discovered Metatron today, who reveals his Italian accent no matter how hard he tries to hide it :D I'll keep scholagladiator in mind

Genome research is revealing a lot of convergent evolution. Falcons are not related to eagles, but to parrots and passerines (sparrows)
    zegh8578
    zegh8578
In reality, it truly is very random. There is no comfortable narrative, and nature may evolve/create eagle-like beaks - or cat-like mammals - over and over and over. When one branch hits a wall and dies out, another one is created to take its place. Long before dinosaurs roamed, proto-mammals existed that were wolf-like, and hunted in packs. No movies about these animals, because they aren't very famous

    TL;DR?
    zegh8578
    zegh8578
Gene research shows that animal appearance means very little in terms of evolutionary relationship. Appearance/evolution can happen very fast. For example: Parrots, sparrows and falcons are related. Eagles are not closely related to falcons, but share appearance because they evolved similar lifestyle.
