Fallout 4 DLC revealed

It is possible that we get Far Harbor DLC trailer tonight.
In three hours.

Take it with a grain of salt, it's a rumour.

I guess it is at least something new. I was going through the selection of games at my local game store today and I was rather disappointed with what was offered to be honest. Not any new PC title at all.

A new trailer is at least something nice.

A ghoul whale was announced and ghoul squids. I find this so stupid, can't Bethesda's design team come up with new creatures?
I strongly have the feeling that Bethesda has the idea that Ghouls are analogue for the living dead. They couldn't get fucking further away from the real concept.

You know how in the 1954 Godzilla movie they hypothesise that Godzilla might be a prehistoric monster that had been sleeping underwater for millennia until it was awoken by atomic bombs? A reference to that would be fun. Wouldn't have to be Godzilla or part of the story or anything, just a giant monster of some kind that you could randomly encounter.

Or you could just have "ghoul whales" and "ghoul squid" and "ghoul clownfish". Because using a small amount of imagination based on pop culture knowledge is going just that little too far for Bethesda.

Seriously? Not a heavily mutated new species, where "Nature finds a way" kind of scary shit (killer shrimp, massive toads that blend with the environment before gobbling you up, giant trapdoor spiders, etc.), just....ghoul whales? So what, a shriveled, massive fish that looks like it's been out of the sun for too long, or literally a giant corpse of a fish that does absolutely nothing? Fucking stupid, honestly. Would've been far scarier to have mutated crocs called "Deathjaws" or something, lurking in the mud before erupting out and insta-killing/doing massive damage to the player if the player gets ambushed.

Ghoul whales and fish kinda make sense, though, given how intensely radioactive the waters in Fallout 3 and 4 are.
They could of course be just heavily mutated in different ways, adopting to the radiation, but I guess radiation = ghoul holds true for everything...

Ahh well, not as good as it should be, but not as bad as I expected. I thought they would shove as much Lovecraft stuff inside it as possible. Innsmouth! Here we come!

Ghoul whale? So a ghoul Moby Dick in a generic DLC that sells the landmass as the content? They're obviously setting up something like this along with that Lovecraftian charm(well when Bethesda attempts it the end result is a poor mans Lovecraft).
It'll likely be a mismatch of things because they don't know what the fuck they are doing or what they want which explains why the base game is a mishmash of shit.

EDIT: Watched the trailer, the zombie ghouls look even more like zombies than before. One of the new enemies look like chaurus from Skyrim and cliche lines, brilliant...
